Nathan brings a rare balance of warmth, motivation, and analytical coaching to the floor. Now in his sixth year of coaching within CrossFit, he’s known for making members feel genuinely seen and supported, while also providing clear, individualized feedback that helps people move better and progress with confidence. With a background in competitive sport and a deep appreciation for mindset, Nathan’s coaching style blends high energy with thoughtful intention. He believes great coaching isn’t just about what happens inside the hour - it’s about helping people build belief in themselves, inside and outside the gym.Whether you’re brand new to training or pushing toward performance goals, Nathan’s focus is the same: help you show up, feel capable, and leave stronger than when you walked in.
Nathan’s journey to coaching wasn’t a straight line. Before stepping into the fitness world, he spent eight years working in the mining industry - a career that allowed for travel and life experiences he’ll always value, but one that ultimately lacked deeper fulfilment. There came a point where he realized he didn’t want to simply enjoy life outside of work - he wanted to love the work itself. That shift led him toward coaching. Since then, his path has been shaped by bold decisions, including relocating from the UK to Australia - a move that challenged him deeply but continues to shape the person and coach he’s becoming. It’s also given him a strong appreciation for resilience, growth, and the impact the right environment and influences can have on a person’s trajectory.Having navigated his own injuries and setbacks throughout training, Nathan remains deeply curious about movement quality and long-term sustainability. That experience informs the way he coaches: thoughtful, progressive, and focused on helping people build confidence in their bodies, not just chase intensity.
Nathan believes great coaching starts with people feeling seen, understood, and cared for.His focus is on helping members:Build confidence through competenceUnderstand the why behind their trainingAvoid the common trap of doing too much, too soonDevelop mindset alongside physical capacityHe’s especially passionate about the mental side of training - the stories people tell themselves, the self-doubt that holds them back, and the quiet confidence that builds when they realize they’re capable of more than they thought.
